Everything you need to know about how Logspace works, what's in it, how your data is handled, and how to get started.
Logspace is an internal reporting and team management platform.
Employees log their work through a clean, guided form; the report is
delivered instantly to the right people by email and kept in a
permanent, searchable record. Around that core it also handles leave,
overtime and shift-change requests, shift rosters, goals, KPIs,
performance reviews, surveys, documents, calendars, and company
newsletters. Managers get real-time oversight of every team from one
dashboard.
Logspace is bought by a company: an administrator creates the
workspace, adds employees, and gets oversight, approvals, performance
reviews, and compliance tracking.
Logspace Community
is a separate free platform for individuals — you sign up yourself,
you get your own personal workspace, there is no manager above you,
and sharing happens peer-to-peer through contacts who must accept your
connection request. They are separate platforms with separate accounts.
Yes — Logspace doesn't force one report format on everybody. On a
company deployment the formats are configured for your organisation
during setup. On
Logspace Community
you build your own: open the Report Types tab, name a format, and add
the fields you want — short text, paragraph, date, choice, checkbox or
number — choosing which of them get voice dictation and AI polishing.
Start from a blank format or one of the ready-made ones, and deactivate
or delete the built-in formats if they don't suit how you work.
Everything around the format — the period, date, project, recipients,
highlight, goals and attachments — stays consistent, and reports you've
already sent keep the layout they were written with even if you change
the format later.
Yes. Logspace Community is free for individuals. There's no company
account, no invitation, and no payment details required — you can
join here
and your workspace exists the moment you sign up. The full workspace
stays free forever; the free plan's only limit is report email
delivery — 1 email a week, up to 3 recipients each (everyone selected
can still see the report in-app regardless). An optional Pro upgrade
removes that limit for $7 per 30 days.
From their own portal an employee can write and submit structured
reports, see their full report history, request leave and overtime,
ask for a shift change or swap, check their upcoming shifts, track
goals, complete self-assessments in a review cycle, answer surveys,
keep private notes, sketches and code snippets, connect an AI
assistant to help draft reports, and manage their profile and settings.
Yes. Logspace supports MCP, the open standard for connecting AI
assistants to real systems, so you can connect Claude — or anything
else that speaks it — and ask it to draft a report from your week.
You connect it once from the assistant, sign in on a Logspace screen,
and approve what it may do. By default it can read your own reports,
projects, goals and contacts and write drafts; it cannot send
anything unless you separately allow that, and it can reach nothing
else in your account. You can disconnect it at any time from
Settings, which cuts off access immediately.
Notes are a private scratch space for work that isn't report-shaped
yet. There are three kinds: written notes, a sketch pad for diagrams
and annotated images, and a code pad with syntax highlighting and a
live preview. Any note can be sent straight into a report when it's
ready — as content or as an attachment. Notes stay private to the
person who wrote them; administrators cannot read them.
Yes. Employees submit leave requests with a leave type, date range,
and half-day option; overtime requests logged in hours against a
project; and shift-change or swap requests. Managers action everything
from one approvals queue and the decision is recorded. Admins publish
shift rosters with times, locations, and labels, and each employee
profile tracks leave balances.
Yes. You define key performance areas and indicators with weightings,
then run review cycles that move through self-assessment, manager
scoring, and calibration before closing. Self and manager scores are
weighted into a final score. Goals sit alongside this and can take
progress directly from submitted reports.
You set the reporting schedule your company runs on, and the
compliance view shows who was expected to report in the current
period, who has submitted, and who is still outstanding. Anyone on
approved leave for that period is excluded automatically, so the list
reflects reality rather than flagging people who were legitimately
away.
Most teams are live within a day. There's nothing to install — we
create your branded workspace, add your first admin, and you can
invite your team and start reporting right away.
Yes. Every customer runs in their own isolated workspace with a
dedicated database, on every plan. Your reports, users, and audit logs
are never pooled with another company's data.
Logspace uses simple, clear roles. Team members submit and track their
own reports, requests, goals, and shifts. Admins oversee the whole
workspace — managing users, viewing every submission, approving
requests, running review cycles, and reviewing the audit trail.
Documents carry their own visibility setting so private, employee, and
HR material stay separate.
The moment a report is submitted, Logspace formats it and emails it to
the selected recipients — admins, managers, or custom contacts — and
tracks whether delivery succeeded. A copy is always retained in your
workspace record.
Yes. The full audit trail can be exported to CSV for HR, compliance,
or your own archives, so your records are always portable. CSV audit
export is available on the Business and Enterprise plans.
It's an optional assist that tidies the grammar and tone of a report
so it reads clearly and professionally — without changing the facts.
It's available on the Business and Enterprise plans and can be turned
off for an entire workspace.
Yes. Your workspace runs on its own subdomain with your name, logo,
and colours applied throughout, editable from the admin console at any
time — so Logspace feels like part of your company, not a third-party
tool. Custom branding and subdomain are included on the Business and
Enterprise plans.
Both plans run the same software with the full platform active —
reports, requests, shifts, goals, reviews, surveys, compliance, and
the audit trail. Starter covers up to 35 team members at $49 per
month. Business covers up to 100 team members at $100 per month and
adds AI report polishing, unlimited departments and projects, CSV
audit export, custom branding and subdomain, and priority support.

Logspace is billed per company workspace, not per report — so costs
stay predictable as your team grows. See the
pricing page
for plan details, or talk to us about annual and non-profit options.
Logspace Community is free for individuals and isn't a company plan
— an optional $7/30-day Pro upgrade lifts its free-plan email limits.
Absolutely. We'll help set up your departments, projects, and first
report types, and Enterprise plans include guided onboarding and
migration support.
